Vermouth No. 9 is an exciting drink made using nine varieties of grapes grown on our vineyard and nine traditional vermouth herbs.

The vermouth recipe was developed by our winemaker, Maris. She drew inspiration from an essay on vermouth she wrote as part of her sommelier studies. The base wine for this drink is made from the 2024 grape harvest, to which a high-proof spirit flavored with carefully selected herbs has been added. The flavor features a variety of herbs, with wormwood and citrus notes standing out. The wine’s bitterness is balanced by sweetness.

Vermouth is an ancient drink flavored with wormwood, which was already known as a stomach remedy in Hippocrates’ time.

We recommend serving the drink chilled with a cube of ice; it also makes a great addition to cocktails.

The drink won a gold medal at the Best Estonian Beverages 2022 competition, and in 2023, it took home the grand prize at the Baltic Cup wine competition.
